i put a live pump on my 48 m. the top two bolt holes on the pump are a little off where they mount to the motor. you can either change the front cover to a super m, or, plug the top two holes with bolts, cut them off flush, mount the pump and re-drill and tap the holes. be careful you dont drill all the way thru the cover. you may want to change the camshaft drive gear, the old gear isnt made to handle the live pump unless you have a very late model m. (if you have a gear driven hour meter, its prolly a late m.) my 48 lasted a year with the old gear and then let go. the belly pump makes a good resevoir, run your spool valve return to a tee at the fill pipe, then put a tee in the drain plug hole and run that return to the pump.you can mount a spool valve behind the belt pulley, and run a control rod up to the light bar, kinda like this one. (the green box is a 250 amp dc welder, drives off the belt pulley)
