I had one scream like crazy after I changed the MCV pump. The gear lash was much too tight. I took the gear off of my old pump and it worked just fine.
I would guess that your MCV pump is starting to scream as soon as it takes prime. This is the pump which also runs your power steering and Hydraulic clutch. They are not too hard to get to, and I believe I would pull it off to see what I had. I would think the pumps would interchange, and I"m sure someone with more experience will correct me if I"m wrong. Paul
