What viscosity oil is in the tractor? Should have 10W-30, 5W-20, or some straight 10W oil for easier winter cranking. If you still have old gasoline (more than 2 months old) in the tank, the easily ignited fumes have long ago evaporated and what is left will not light up easily when cold.
