Many thanks for the offer of help. I'm not quite sure how serious my friend intends to get or what the rules are that we pull under. I will however see him tomorrow and I'll find out if different heads etc would be allowed and if wants to go that far (incidentally I might just know where there is a 340 head near me). NOW if you want to realy go and spend money the block can be bored to take the 3 1/4. Chances are your blocks will only take the 3 1/8. In both cases you can mill the head 125 thous. You can get hi-dome sleeve and pistons with rings for less that 300.If you could find a 340 head you get bigger valves. The large pistons and head will give you 40 or so HP.
