Matt: Don't know if the gas engine is the same, but on 560 and 656 diesels there is a coolant port in the head above each cylinder. On my diesels I used a heater like Hal's photo and went from block drain to the port in the head directly above the block drain. It's best if you can find ports near the center of the engine. Problem with ports at the front, you get wasted heat going to the rad or cab. I once saw one didn't warm the engine, but you could have lived in the cab, heat rises as does hot water.
