All, I found a "deal" on a 656 diesel. The owner states that it doesn"t run right now. Said it was in a field working and quit. Said engine was rebuilt about 100 hrs ago and the injection pump has been rebuilt trying to remedy the problem. He says that it tried to start a couple weeks ago when he looked at it but cut right back off. It has a narrow front and is not a hydro. He is asking 1200.00 for it. Is it worth taking a look at? I"m not interested in it as a parts machine. If I were to purchase it, I would want to get it back into running shape to use around the house. There is also a non running 460 in the same area for the same money with a similar issue. Owner states it was skipping and he had the injection pump rebuilt. It was still skipping after the pump rebuild so he had the injectors tested. He said 2 injectors tested bad but he did not have the repaired/replaced. He wants 1500 for that tractor. Any opinions would be appreciated.
