Another cause of air in the hyd system on a 656 is a hole in the return hose from the steering pump oil. This is routed from the top cover down to help super charge the main pump suction tube. Hose can be checked and replaced by removeing the centerlink bracket on the back of the rear frame. Can drain the oil down to inspect or can usually feel the hole in the hose, & replace it. Also while the cover is off take a good look at the bolts that hold the ring gear to the diff.case. These have a habit of breaking off then the bolt comes out and tears of the upper tube the hose goes on, will have a lot of air in the system. I assume you have a clean hyd. filter & good Hy Tran in the rear end, & full to the right level. Ted
