Ray, It sounds like you either have a 1944 Farmall M or a 1954 Farmall SMTA with a 1944 M engine. Your engine block was cast 11/14/44(N). If your tractor is a SMTA it will have; live hydraulics, disc brakes, and cast holes on the rear housing for fast hitch mounting points. I will also probably, but not always, have TA and IPTO. If it is a 44 M it will have none of these features
