Old Iron,A statement of experence,I was removing the manifold studs from a F20 head,I used extream heat,The stud cooled and came out,While I was standing there we heard a loud crack,I just trowed it away and went to look for another one.Found another one with bad studs and I took it to the machine shop and all is well
