Hugh, as you know I travel a bit and try to keep my eyes open to finding a 600 gas and one of these Super A1 tractors. I doubt if I will land either one, but it gives me yet another thing to do in this journey we call life.
I may have to go the Super HTA route and take a 100 with fast hitch and make it into an A1 with some ingenious sheet metal work.
Hugh, I had an interesting telephone conversation with a fellow Farmall YT member this week who is building an impressive collection and who, incidentally, has a Super A1 in the process of being restored (it does not have the fast hitch). He recently purchased three big Internationals (I think he said 1066, 1466 and ?66). He feels the late, big IH hardware will be appreciating at a pretty good clip in the future.
I'd like to collect the entire 544 series one day, but for now will have to stick to my solitary 140 until the missus and I buy a get away putt-around farm with a future pole barn to house some red gear in our retirement years.
