Robbie, you might have the 2 IH V-8 diesels mixed up. There was a DV-550, which was used in the 14/1568 series tractors & also in IH light/medium duty trucks in the 70s. Then there was a 9.0 Liter V-8 built in the 80s as a truck engine. Other than the engine displacements are similar, there isn't much, that I know of anyway, other similarities between these engines. A DV-550 out of a IH truck may fit into a 1468 with some minor modifications, but I don't think a 9.0 Liter will fit at all.
