Have the head off the Cub so I want to adjust the valves. Serice Manual says to put #1 piston (one at front of radiator) at TDC. Then adjust the valves in order of 1,2,3,5. When I look at this some of the valves are adjusted in the open position and some are closed. Is this correct? The valves under #1 piston (the 1 and # 2 valve) are both closed. 3rd valve is open as is #5 valve. Is this correct way to adjust them. Then it says to bring the #4 piston (one closes to driver) to top and adjust the 4,6,7, and 8 valves. Are the valve #s counted from the front of the motor to the rear? Any help appreciate. Also some say 13 ths. and some 15 ths. Which one?
