Mike: Both made the same years 56, 57 and 58, they share a common sequence of serial numbers.
Differences are the main hood side decal FARMALL or INTERNATIONAL and the International has a foot throttle and the heavy duty square axle. The square axle was also an option on the Farmall. Also all high clears with 36" rear and 19" front tires I've seen had the square axle, I'm not certain but the square axle could be standard in that case.
