Andy, the 25V used a cultivator cylinder mounted under the right side of the transmission, rear end on the tractor with a mounting bracket and device bolted into the side of the clutch/power lift housing and drawbar and a chain ran to the pull-up pivot on the mower to lift it. We had a 25V we used on our '50 H back in the early '50's when I was growing up on the farm and it was one fine mowing outfit. If the hay was heavy 1st cutting I mowed in 3rd @ 95% throttle. Most second and third cutting and straw stubble I could mow in 4th @ 85-90% throttle. Those Z shaped plates on the mounts were used so you could use the mower without narrowing up the rear wheels on your tractor...you usually had them spread out at that time of year for cultivating. Used to love spinning the steering wheel with a little right brake to make nice square corners with just a little "tuft" of hay left standing. Usta "knock down" a field of hay pretty quick. Mowin' straw was "bumble-bee city"...got stung a couple of times. Funny, I can't remember where I left my keys this morning but I can remember mowing hay like it was yesterday.
