I'm also a 15W40 guy, but as time has passed I have went to house brands on the tractors that only run a few hours a year and arent expected to work for a living. These tractors end up getting their oil changes based upon months or years elapsed rather than hours running. Its my humble opinion that oil tecnology has improved so much that they are still getting better oil than they did when they were new.
