My friend, I do not need to do any "research". Yes, they are made by Valvoline, Havoline, and such, but they do not have "all" the additives and quality control that you will find in name brand oil. I have torn more than one engine down that used cheap oil and you can tell by the amount of sludge and wear in the engine about the quality of the oil used in the engine. As i said, my equipment is too importnat to me to use cheap oil! Did it never occur to you why the box store house brand oil is cheaper??? Got to be something when it is sometimes 25-30% cheaper. Part is advertising, but not all...... the rest is quality. Jim
