I had the same problem with my C several years ago. I installed a sealer in the tank and it has not leaked since. I believe I got the sealer kit from Eastwood which is a supplier of automotive painting supplies. Sealer kit is not cheap. I think everything to do the job cost around $60 and that was 6 years ago I think. In addition to the sealer kit, I had to get muratic acid and acetone from Lowe's. These are not part of the kit. If you want the sealer to work, you have to follow the directions exactly and that includes washing the tank with detergent, and then using the kit cleaners and the muratic acid to etch the inside. The Acetone is to dry all the water out before you install the sealer. You may want to investigate a radiator shop or a shop that works on motorcycles. Some of these folks will boil out gas tanks and install sealers. I'm told this is a common problem with older motorcycles.
