I know a good number of you folks chuckle a bit when you see me recomending CaseIH parts over other parts. Yes, some items are more money, however many are not, but what you do get from CaseIH has durability and longeviety.
Case in question, shortly after coming to YT, now 8 years ago, I got talked into auto parts store carburator kits for my SA and 130. That bloomin needle valve with the damn plastic tip. Well the damn things leaked almost since the day I installed them, damn gas stains down the side of my engine block, probably evaporated 100 gallons of gas in the past 6 years.
Recently I purchased a kit for my 130 from CaseIH, when I opened the package, a steel tipped needle valve. Installed it as per directions. Since then carburator is dry, block is dry and floor is dry every morning, and I've yet to turn the gas off.
I've seen much the same with auto part stores ignition parts, very poor quality. Points with the arm so long less than 10% of the actual contacts make contact. Distributor caps that don't fit. Thanks, but I'll be sticking with CaseIH.
