I just tore down two dual fuel engines and the head were the same and also one that was a hi-alt one it had the hi-dome pistons not very high domes so it must have been a 5000 one the other two had low dimples in the pistons but had the same # on the heads one even had original bearings dated and were std size and hardly no wear on the crank mains and rods. i will get it polished and use it as the tractor will only get hardly any use. The amazing thing was the oil still in the bngs but the blocks were full of junk. They still had the disstillate manifolds. The one had never been apart as you can tell on the locks on the mains and the cotter pins. The code dates on the bngs went along with the cast code on the engine they were CLEVLITE. My BN came fron COLO and had the 5000 pistons as the dome isnt very high. Often wondered what the higher domes would look like as there were four different styles. Some day im going to remove the head on the B i have that was cast in FEB 47 and has a hy pump with C rockshaft assy. The block has SAMPLE in raised letters in front of the filter. Looking in spark plug hole it has hi-dome pistons. Very unusual tractor.
