Try this before you tear it down. On the lower right corner of the head there is a plug. Either a reg hex head or "Allen" type. You might have to take out the battery box to get to it. Take the plug out. It will have a little "dunce cap" screen strainer attatched, and a small orfice that screws on into the hole. If that orfice has a small piece of grit or sand in it the size of a pin head, that will cause the pump to run at high pressure all the time. I hope that's all it is and you don't have to doa rebuild.....DDG
