Those rubber bands are pretty expensive. I bought 4 last spring and believe they were $20/each. Didn't fuss too much because I believed they would last at least five years. Left them on after planting and 3 of the four broke within a few months. Immediately removed the good one. Going to look at tire rubber boots or tube patches to see if they can be used on the outside to splice the bands back together. The planter came with two of the rubber bands on the seed drum held together with multiple rounds of electrical tape. If the rubber boot/tube patches don't work, will consider this tape repair. CIH inactivates the undesired seed outlet manifold/tubes with closed cell styrofoam blocks.
