The lift-all system used a realatively small one way cylinder with a rigid front snout tube. The internal working ram extended from this "snout" and had no physical "hook-up"; just a push ram. They were single acting (one hose) and were about 1 1/2 x 8".
When they later came out with the double acting systems, a 2 1/2 x 8" cylinder like this one was generally used and it became the standard.
