Everything is relative... but I'd say more money than work. I have a loader and a 3pt hitch on an M. It's all running off the "lift-all" or belly pump hydraulics. That means the cylinders are single-acting only, with lift, but no down-pressure. The loader has a trip bucket, not a cylinder-trip. This system has some serious limitations, but it is SIMPLE, and it works. I put some ball shut-off valves in the two lines to the loader, which are the front left and right side ports of the hydraulic system. The rear port on the left side goes to the cylinder which runs the 3 pt hitch. A valve in this line allows it to be shut off. 3 lines, 3 valves, 3 cylinders; if the 3pt had 2 cylinders, a tee in the line would handle that. By shutting off the loader lines when the loader is at a convenient height, I can then run the 3pt hitch. I can shut off the 3pt at a given height and use the loader. This does NOT actually LOCK the 3pt at a given height, however, as both it and the loader may "float" due to lack of down pressure. In my situation, I have never needed to use them both at the same time, so it works fine for what I'm doing. In fact, the weight of the loader keeps the front end down when using a mounted plow! Live hydraulics and more circuits with double acting cylinders would be nicer, but that's not gonna happen any time soon! Regarding the 3pt, I echo the opinion expressed in another post that it's VERY nice to find a hitch that allows you to bolt in the original drawbar. Mine does not, and I wish it did!

The Fordson F Ignition System - by Anthony West. A fellow restorer contacted me earlier this year asking for some help and advice on a model F that he was restoring. He had over a period of months spent a fair amount of his hard earned cash on replacement parts for the old "trembler" ignition. Sadly though all his efforts seemed to be a waste of time and money as he still couldn''t get the temperamental old thing to run correctly!! If i said that this was a little frustrating for him that would be "conservative" in fact the problem had reduce
