i remade ours myself a few years ago. would recommend _buying the front harnesses from case ih_ after my experience. the time, effort, and headaches make their price worth it. the rear ones for the lights i would do myself again anytime, as i feel IH was too cheap on the requirements for the lighting circuit. that little plug is a great place to tap into for your relays or whatever else you want to add...
the owners manual diagrams pretty much show you what plugs into where, and not what's wired to what. a good guide, but the details are lacking.
should harnesses not be available anymore, or if you must do it yourself, then i would recommend simplifying the wiring and beefing it up where needed (examples: charge circuit and light circuit--with relay(s) ). the OE ones were pretty redundant, most of the wires made loop-d-loops; likely to guarantee the thing would still run if the mice or copper cancer got to it. for the most part, the oe connector plugs are the way to go. you will need what's called GM 56 series terminals. no pre wired plug pigtail set you find at an auto parts store will be correct in looks, terminal needs, or duty requirements. also solder and heatshrink everything.
there were a few variations due to generator or alternator and probably serial #. do you have the correct original type alternator on it currently? it is an externally regulated model. the self regulated will fit but change your wiring diagram needs.
honestly, the Bob M diagrams for distributor ignition would almost work, you just need to modify them a little. if you have the electric solenoid on your carb, it would be on the same circuit as your ignition coil. if you separate the starting, sparking/accessories, charging, and light circuits, you can pretty much do your own without too much trouble other than "how to wire alternator" and "which terminals on starter solenoid"...
good luck. i can be of more assistance, especially if i find the diagrams i penciled back then. email is open too

Today's Featured Article - Women and Tractors - Tractor Engine Repair - by Teri Burkholder. One of the great things about working on a tractor engine with your other half is that you know what he is thinking of at all times and can anticipate his every move and his next thought of what he will do. With Ben, anyway, I can tell! He'll be busy working and I’m handing him tools and he says, "give me that..." and I’ve already got it in his hand or "hand me that....."and I’ve got the portable light right where he needed it placed to see. "Run in the house and get me a...."as I open th
