If you have good fire to the plugs and fuel and there's not even a pop from the engine you have the ignition out of time. When you bring No1 piston to TDC on the compression stroke your rotor should be pointing to the No1 plug tower on the cap and both valves on No1 piston should be closed. If you removed the cam and crankshaft gears your punch marks should mesh as shown in this picture. Hal
