Lacash: If it has been sitting for two or three years, there is virtually no way that tractor is going to run without a complete carburetor rebuild. If you are capable of doing the job, then find out which one of the following three brands of carbs is on the tractor: Marvel-Schebler, Carter or Zenith; then go to your Case-IH dealer, or perhaps a NAPA store and get a carb kit to rebuild your carb. In addition, you will need access to a vat of strong carb cleaner. Disassemble the carb and let it soak for 2-3 days. Then blow out with some strong air pressure and assemble to specs.
