That's looking good there, I've got a little bit more to take off mine to get it to where yours is.
You probably want to remove the pressure regulator orifice plug and screen (#30 pg 26) and give it a good cleaning. Mine was pretty gummed up and I've been told that when they plug up the cause the system to stay in high pressure mode.
I've scraped the gasket of the head (not yet done the block) and had very good luck with a razor blade scraper. Not the easiest gasket I've ever done but that worked much better than my other scrapers.
I'm getting a bit worried here, when I saw that page reference I just reached out and picked up the book without even needing to look!
