You might as well go ahead and pull the genny and regulator and just do it, youve been told more than once you dont need it to get it running, but you keep saying you want to get them tested so just go ahead and do it already! For it to run all you need is one wire from the battery to the switch, then to the distributor. Youre not going to hurt the battery any by not having the charging system going yet.
