Hi Jay, looking at your pictures of the hydraulic control valves, is the leak coming from the pressure relief valve (the tubular cylinder with the nut that screws onto the body of the control valve)? If it is you can try tightening the nut some. Be careful if you try to remove this relief valve as it is under spring tension. It is common for hydraulic hoses to spring a leak after years of use and damage to the outside by rubbing on metal parts. Split an old heater hose to put over hydraulic hose anywhere there is abrasion.
Hopefully there is not a piece of hydraulic hose floating around in your hydraulic system. My brother had a strip of rubber about an inch long in his loader hydraulics once.

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
