I have the Woods L-59 on mine, The last time I put on new rears I went with the 9.5"s. The smaller circumference has the effect of gearing the tractor down, so that the travel speed in any gear is lower. I can mow in 3rd now, and before with the great big rears, it just travelled to fast, and I was either bogging or dropping back to 2nd sometimes. Also, when backing with the deck raised, the mower will flip up sometimes, and the lugs of the rear tire will catch on the rear of the mower. I"ve damaged several tire lugs backing up, it was even worse with the larger tires.
