Hi, are you attempting to change the transmission and PTO clutch? If so you split the tractor at the bell housing just at the rear of the engine. The 424 should be similar to 434/444 and will have a dual stage clutch with the larger clutch being the transmission and the smaller one the PTO. These units are a bit trickery to re-install and adjust than the single stage clutch found in most other models.
