I know on other F series tractors, the serial number was stamped on the left frame rail. I have restored a 35 F-12, and should know the answer to this, but don't. The serial number should be under the fuel tank on the front fuel tank support, unless it is missing. Should be held on with four rivets, unless it is gone, and empty holes exist where it once was riveted. F-12s never had any other engine except the IH 4 cyl. Only exception, is the first year when they used a Waukesha engine until IH designed their own. Hope this helps. Jerry
