If its stuck that bad the head needs to come off anyway. I had one engine that was lightly stuck but broke free by turning it backwards, then with oil in the cylinders, it rolled all the way over. I pulled the heads anyway to be safe and Im glad I did. THey will filled with mice nests and surface rust.
I have had good lucking pulling the head, cleaning around the top of the piston and cylinder with a wire wheel, then using high pressure air, blowing all the debris out from around the piston to the bore. Then i put Coke Classic in there and let it sit for a while. Every now and then tap on the pistons with a oak block and a 4lb hammer or so. This will help shake it and help the Coke work its way in. The key to any of this is patience. I have had good luck with PB Blaster and ATF as well, but like i said, patience is the main thing. Good luck
