I have a Farmall 504 and like it. The tractors that you are looking at can have either a fast-hitch or factory 3pth, live PTO or standard, 10 speed (torque amplifier)or five speed tranny, and power steering is optional. It will probably have a hydraulic system and it will be live. It has 46 PTO hp. In terms of tire size, weight, and hp my tractor is similar to a SMTA but is nowhere near as rugged as the large frame tractor. But it is far superior to a 8N. Price is a matter of luck and location. I paid $1500 at auction for mine 10 years ago. It has a good loader (that alone is worth $1500) and was used sparingly at a Massachusetts county hospital. If I was to sell my tractor, I would want at least $5000.
