Man, what a day! My friend came over and we worked on installing the narrow double front end I got. But it didn't fit!! I thought the steering shaft had to be replaced too. So, off to the salvage yard 45 minutes away. But we figured out that the shafts were the same. If was the pedestal that was wrong!! It was from an M! It was just slightly different (bigger) So I was able to swap pedestals with one that looks worse and is yellow, but at least it fits. Back home we realized that the original bolts that fit on the single front end were too short for the new pedestal. So, off to Lowes for new bolts. So, got all that put on. Looks odd with the Harley Davidson tires, but oh well. Took the carb apart and put a little sealer in a few recommended spots, and made sure everything on the inside was snug. Tried to adjust the float, but didn't have a 1/32 or 1/64th ruler, so my friend just "eyeballed" it based on the OS-4 carb he redid. Hopefully it works out. Built the new fuel line and routed it. Fixed up the sediment bowl and installed it. Worked on installing the battery box, which is a cheap Chinese knock-off I bet, so needs some modifications to work. Still working on that. Routing the choke rod to clear all this new stuff.
Next is the wiring. We are relocating the grounding wire back to what we believe is the original position it should be. Next I have to look up some pictures and figure out how to route the battery cable to the new starter button, and then... ? To the starter I think? Don't know. Wiring is the next major step, then it should be ready for firing.

Today's Featured Article - The Cletrac General GG and the BF Avery A - A Bit of History - by Mike Ballash. This article is a summary of what I have gathered up from various sources on the Gletrac General GG and the B. F. Avery model A tractors. I am quite sure that most of it is accurate. The General GG was made by the Cleveland Tractor Company (Cletrac) of Cleveland, Ohio. Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
