Doug & Gents- I too find the regional differences interesting. Sweat not the naysayers guys- Nothing here is required reading for anyone and Kim edits out what ain't right. Sounds like some big bargains are in California! But, the real bargains seem to be found just driving down the road and not even looking. Apparently, they jump out and grab people? Grins, IHank

The following are seen in the Des Moines Sunday Register, 5 MAR 2000, ad class. 790 & 795. This "true copy" is presented as Iowa area old tractors information and conversation material. No recommendation is made and I have no personal knowledge of any of these situations. Two criteria I used to select these pass alongs-- "Old tractor" info. & the price is in the ad.

His dad was a hard-working farmer and the children worked hard everyday to help ends meet. In the rural area he grew up in, the highlight of the week was Saturday when many people took a break from their work to go to town. It was on one such Saturday in the early 1940's when Sam was 16 years old that he ended up in Dennison, Kansas to watch a demonstration of a new tractor being put on by a local dealer. It was an Allis-Chalmers tractor dealership, ... [Read Article]
