Some of can remember from a while back when I was refurbishing the 3-5 HP IH engine. Well, I got it going some time back...and then I found a radiator for it on Ebay..paid way too much for it but there are none around.. Then as you may recall, I borrowed the shroud or cowling from a member here, used as a pattern and fabricated a new one. Lastly, last summer, I drove to Iowa from NC to pick up cultivators for the 27 regular and while there picked up an I/H corn sheller...and I have rebuilt it and painted that also.
Now, I have them both rigged up on a trailer with the corn sheller hooked up with a flat belt drive to the 3to 5. So I fired it up...runs like a sewing machine and really tosses the corn cobs out of there :-) (You can really tell when some people dont have anything to do). AND...the drive pulley for the sheller...I cut off a stump, put it into the lathe and turned it down so that I could get the right ratio on the drive...speed now just right.
