I recently acquired a 1948 I-9 with a stuck motor and the remains of a U-9 power unit with a good motor. I am trying to put the U-9 motor in the I-9 , I have the bellhousing flywheel and clutch swapped over but my problem lies in the front motor mount which is different between the tractor and the power unit. My question is if the mount is part of the front cover or if it can be swapped without changing the front cover. I appears that the mount is supposed to swivel on the front cover but i am not sure if it just pulls off the cover or not, i already have the crank pulley removed at this time. Thanks any help is appreciated, i am hoping to have the engine installed tomorow night.
