About 40 years ago, I actually just about burned up the BN that I just finished restoring. Same scenario. We were cultivatin' beans at the time and came in for lunch. Afterward, I went out and refueled the tractor and spilled a little (the old hand crank pump on the bulk tank). Didn't really do anything electrical, but there was a bare wire in there someplace under the tank that chose that moment to start sparkin'. Well, I started scrapin' up dust from the ground to throw on it and sent my little brother flyin' to the house to get Grandpa. I was able to pull the wire away and it never did burst into flame, but you can bet the cultivatin' was held up for an hour or so until that wire got replaced.
