I was in a mischievous mood when I saw the question about the 8v battery, and got hold of myself before I said somethin' silly.
But my silly thought made for a question.
Two pieces of electronics that I keep as close as my torque wrenches and my piston ring compressor are my old got-it-at-J.C. Whitney dwell tach, and my switchable 12v/6v charger.
Was thinkin' lately about upgradin' the charger, and see that the selection of mid-range 6/12v chargers is now pretty much down to the small, hand-portable boxes, as in "no heavy duty roll-arounds".
Not sure what it would be, but if 6v chargers were to go away as I fear they might, could you foresee a problem in hooking up two 6v batteries in series and puttin' 'em on a 12v charger? About all I could come up with was I might want to make a short jumper to go between the two with regular terminals, just for a better connectin that clips might make.
