mike, did you have the front bolster off? there is some wiggle room where the bolster bolts to the front frame rails. as the other gys stated, there is also wiggle room where the radiator bolts to the bolster, and the fuel tank. there should also be a support rod across the top of the motor going to the radiator. if you are looking for perfect gaps, take the weight off the front end by blocking it under the clutch housing, loosen the bolts that hold the rails to the bolster, also the motor mount bolts that hold the rails to the engine, and back the rear bolts out a few turns that hold the rails to the clutch housing. do a lil wigglin to get the bolster to move, then start fitting your sheet metal, once you get the bolster close, then snug it down and fit the rest.
