On a 300 head a short pipe was used in the front breather hole under valve cover, with the opening for breather line to air cleaner located in top of valve cover. No line over rocker arms was used. On a H and SH the overvalve line with a line to air cleaner located in the rear of head was used. If you have holes in head for rear line its probably not a 300 head. Could be a later replacement head that fit H through 350 though. Does the head have a casting #?
