I can tell you tractor wheel tread setting is quite important with those semi-mounted plows. I think you'd have to be looking at close to 68" to 72" for 3x18 plow.
the book for the bigger 4,5,6 bottom IHs that i got as a package deal for something else on ebay says 30-32 inch space between pto shaft (or middle point) and the inside edge of the rear wheel. not sure if it's identical to a 3 bottom...
the ford 5000 is at 60" on centers (bought at auction that way25 yrs ago) and the 656 has the right pushed in to about 64" while the left is out almost all the way. it was pushed in "for the mower" which was sold in the mid 70s for the 230 swather. it is now used on the discbine which i think would allow room for the wheel to be set out to plow. the 1256 is too big... but that one isnt set up right either, needs to be all the way in for duals...
when i started reading the books it seems that every piece of equipment required to put in a crop requires a different tread spacing at each step. then summer time activities require another wheel tread setting. every tractor we have has either short axles or the goofy 8 position hoop rim system.
