just finished putting a alternator on my 230 i have the lite in line to excite the alternator to charge . problem is it wont excite through the lite. the lite is of the same type, mfg. same brand off the same shelf as the rest of my tractors[bought six at one time} now i can jump across the lite and the thing will start charging . BUT the second i remove the jumper it quits charging. All the rest of my tractors when you temporary excite the alternators they will continue charging untill you shut the tractor off. not this one . i've put on about twenty alternators on like this without any problems up untill now. could there be something wrong with the regulator in this chevy alternator?
