Sure. Some goofing around required. Pull #1 plug and (with the coil high voltage wire in place on the coil, and the other end grounded, and with it in neutral, and brakes locked, and safe) Put your thumb over the spark plug hole, and bump the starter till pressure blows out the hole. Then pull the cap off the distributor and look at the position of the rotor. (it will not be pointing directly, but "toward" one cap terminal. That will be #1. The distributor turns clockwise, so in that rotation, it is 1, 3, 4, 2. !3 is at the radiator. JimN
