I would pull the distributor and check it for a sheared woodruff key in the drive gear. If its not sheared you need to check to see if the gear that drives the distributor gear is turning. It may be cam gear related. You need to pull No1 sparkplug near the radiator and bring No1 piston to TDC on the compression stroke. Hold your thumb over the plug hole while someone cranks the engine slowly until you feel compression against your thumb. Then drop a LARGE handle screwdriver on top of the piston and watch it rise as the engine is slowly cranked. When it quits rising you should be at TDC on the compression stroke on No1 piston. Your timing marks should be aligned and both valves on that cylinder should be closed. This is where you would need to restall the distributor if the distributor has a sheared key and its repaired. Turn the rotor to the No1 plug tower where your No1 plug wire is attached to the cap and install the distrubtor on the engine. This procedure is used even if the engine is a V8. Hal
