If that adjustment isn't doing anything they are likely worn beyond adjusting.Loosen the jamb nut at the bottom of the pans and turn the screw in a turn at a time and see if that gives you brakes. Pull a pan off and observe, maybe oil leaking through the seal has affected the brake...8 studs and its off, tha actuating arm comes off with the brake pan.
