Hi , Wouldn't a 5' disk be more for smoothing a garden than covering trash in a field ? We used to have a 6' heavy frame pull type disk at work with two 12" manhole rings on it for weight and in disturbed soil such as backfill it wouldn't cut more than 3" with notched blades and the gangs as straight across as possible . But it did a wonderful job of smoothing the ground before we used a York rake on it to remove the rocks . ...Randy
