A neighbor showed me his Super WD6 diesel/gas tractor today..He's getting along in years and no longer can operate it. It has a wide front, non-op power steering, worn tires, but had a pretty fair repaint two or three years ago when he paid $3500 dollars for it. It has a PTO but only a drawbar in the back instead of a three point. He's wanting to sell but really has no idea of what to ask. I am a Ford guy ( shoot me, I'm stupid) and don't know this market at all. He was told it was a very rare tractor, one of 50 or so built like it. I think he'd take less that he paid, and the I and T price book seems to indicate he paid too much. Anyone want to hazard a guess what this thing would go for at a good auction? Is it rare? Any things I need to look at as far as probable problem areas on it? Do these normally have such large fenders? I could use a bigger tractor occasionally but don't want to pay more than I could sell it for.. Thanks guys! ( And before you think I'm completely non-red, I do have a Cub.. in a million pieces right now, but it's gonna mow this spring, I hope!)
