Hugh -- you have an IH disk. Same quality in the smaller ones as in the larger ones. I have never heard of Howse (see below for update) -- I am assuming that it is one of the light duty farm store disks. I could be wrong (I wasn't). But, if I saw it I could probably tell by looking if it was any good or not. I have not used a fast hitch or three point disk, except for a couple of worthless worn out ones I occasionally rent out of desperation for some job I have -- left the farm nearly 50 years ago. At that time we used a heavily weighted IH 6 foot tandem disk behind an H at full angle. It worked well, but was usually used behind a plow, so there was little trash. For good trash burial and one pass weed control you really need an offset, an H doesn't handle one of those with any width. Update -- The link is the Howse website, slide show of what they sell including a light duty tandem disk. Probably should not compare real IH farm equipment to some of the lighter stuff.

Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
