Hugh -- you have an IH disk. Same quality in the smaller ones as in the larger ones. I have never heard of Howse (see below for update) -- I am assuming that it is one of the light duty farm store disks. I could be wrong (I wasn't). But, if I saw it I could probably tell by looking if it was any good or not. I have not used a fast hitch or three point disk, except for a couple of worthless worn out ones I occasionally rent out of desperation for some job I have -- left the farm nearly 50 years ago. At that time we used a heavily weighted IH 6 foot tandem disk behind an H at full angle. It worked well, but was usually used behind a plow, so there was little trash. For good trash burial and one pass weed control you really need an offset, an H doesn't handle one of those with any width. Update -- The link is the Howse website, slide show of what they sell including a light duty tandem disk. Probably should not compare real IH farm equipment to some of the lighter stuff.
